I’m so sorry there was no adults you could trust and rely on at the time. Thank you for the courageous piece that was your life, which is in the past now. All that is future is hope, light, and healing. Thank you for telling your story…
You are brave and so worthy of redemption not in a religious sense— or maybe it’s just healing. The work you are doing to shed the bullshit you had to endure must be exhaustive. I’m impressed you are making your way out to the light. Thank you for your story and peace and love to you in your journey.
I'm sorry that I don't know your name. I usually don't read stories like this, not because they are not valuable to know, but because many are just dumping their experience (totally valuable too). But you are a WRITER. This is excellent and moving and so ugly true that we are all angry for you. I started reading and couldn't stop. Bless you and please don't censor yourself. Write what you need, what you want. You have a voice that catches our attention. Blessings.
A powerful and moving piece. You *have* survived and triumphed even if it doesn't always seem like that. I've just finished reading "The Lasting Harm" by a sexual abuse survivor that covered the Ghislaine Maxwell trial - and I could see some behaviours she wrote about reflected in what you wrote. Silence only benefits the perpetrators so good on you for speaking your truth. I wish you had more people on your side as a young girl.
I am so enraged that you had to go through all that from such a ridiculously young age.
I can’t believe the strength you’ve shown to not only survive but to come out the other side so able to share about it with a raw authenticity that is truly remarkable.
You’re a beautiful writer and you sound one strong woman. I’m amazed.
